FREE! SENIOR WELLNESS WORKSHOPS – PILATES PRINCIPLES OF MOVEMENT
The two biggest threats to the health of aging adults is no regular physical activity and unhealthy weight. This workshop will provide you with information about the principles of movement that will promote an active lifestyle and reduce health risks. Our instructors will demonstrate proper body mechanics and techniques to ensure safe exercise performance. Participants will receive an exercise band to take away and will learn beneficial exercises to do at home using the band. Instructed by Monica Rynearson and Shirley Ciofu, both certified in the Pilates method with specialty track certifications for injuries and special populations. The event will be held outside in Rackham Park downtown Fenton behind the Community Center. These events are made possible with CDBG funds from the City of Fenton. Ages 55+
