Learning to see and create images is critical to a child’s development. By teaching the fundamentals of drawing using familiar shapes and subjects, students experience increased confidence, improved coordination and spatial awareness…. all while having tons of FUN! No lesson is ever repeated!
Is your home overflowing with your child’s creative masterpieces? It’s time to take their artistic talent to the next level with Young Rembrandts! Marvel as their pencils fly across the page, bringing to life everything from delicious taffy apples to charming seasonal scarecrows. We’re adding a sprinkle of Van Gogh’s magic too, with vibrant sunflower sketches that burst off the page. We will guide our students through the dynamics of the Watch Color Wheel and much more. Boo Art Workshop

BOOTIFUL artwork will be created in this fun Hallowe’en workshop. Black cat silhouettes in sunsets, wax relief gossamer paintings, and ghostly sculptures, Model Magic ghosts! A Viewing of Creations of our art work with Popsicle treats will be extended to families at the end of class! This is a fun family event, hope to se you here! Taught by artist/instructor Pamela Palmer, B.F.A. owner of The Artist’s Apprentice. Ages 7 & up. (As always siblings of any age are welcome to register). Material fees are non-refundable.

Jolly Holiday Animal Art

Fa La La Let’s Paint! Young art lovers will be introduced to artists who whose talents express beautiful artwork of the holiday season! They will choose an animal to paint, adding a funny twist by adding Santa hat or reindeer antlers. We will be sketching out our ideas, selecting our favorite to begin a chalk drawing on canvas, proceeding to acrylics on canvas, students will receive individual guidance along the way to help with their individual artwork. A snowy scene of a colorful Christmas trees illuminated with bright bulbs will be added to the background. Kid’s will have plenty of ideas to choose for our festive animals! Visual references will be used as a guidance. Sign up early, space is limited. Join us for ‘The Viewing’ of your kids’ artwork on the last day of classes.Taught by Artist/Instructor Pamela Palmer B.F.A., Owner/Entrepreneur of The Artist’s Apprentice. Join us in painting happy little trees and fluffy clouds as we put dreams onto canvas. Join Ted Simpson, Certified Ross Instructor as he guides you through painting your own Bob Ross Style masterpiece in just a few hours.

Learn to Paint like Bob Ross! Summer 2024

Painting Still Life in Watercolor with Shape, Light & Values

AGES: 16-100!

ALL SKILL LEVELS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND.

Join master artist Denise Willing Booher as she leads students step-by-step through painting a Still Life. She will demonstrate each step working in layers of washes to build radiant colors as well as painting with strong, colorful strokes. Emphasis will be on what makes a good painting, planning the composition with a study, good division of shapes, value planning, shadows, and reflections and what your art communicates while enjoying yourself! Students will use Denise’s set up or bring their own Still Live objects.
