Ages 7+

Do you have a Passion for Fashion? Let’s hit the runway with a flashy frenzy! This drawing camp will launch you on your way to expressing ideas in a way that sets them apart with professional appeal! We will be learning about body structure and balance of movement as we creatively express these concepts. Our young visionaries will be exploring various ways to set forth their innovative intentions by designing outfits in numerous sketches using ink washes with graphite, colored pencils, and markers.

Other projects will include a charming paper sculpture, using specialty white papers on black card stock, and creating faerie gowns from nature elements that we scavenge we gather from an outdoor excursion. A fun use of tissue paper and watercolors will culminate in a large-scale project. This is a great opportunity to utilize that creative mind of yours, so let’s start making those gorgeous garments! ‘A Fashion Debut’ will be extended to families on the final day of this unique summer camp.

Outdoor activities include making a rainbow ‘bubble snake’ that will be used as a colorful backdrop for the most brilliant rainbow anime characters! Kids will be working on landscapes and colorful animals like rainbow fish, chameleons, peacocks, iridescent beetle bugs, and fancy roosters. Isn’t there something splendid about a prism?! We will be learning about the fracturing of light in another fun outdoor activity! Colored  pencils will be used, including shimmer colors, chalk pastels, paper quilling and paint. Experimental practices will be utilized like beautiful ink applications. You will be impressed with our colorful art that will be presented in A Gallery Show following class on the final day!
