Gym Stars Gymnastics Programs
Gym Stars Gymnastics is the place to be for toddlers through high school age gymnasts to develop their best abilities. We offer recreational classes and a competitive team and are also the home of the Linden/Fenton/Lake Fenton High school Varsity team. Our emphasis is on having fun and staying safe as you go through proper gymnastics skill progressions. Our amazing instructors have a goal to build coordination, strength, confidence, and self-esteem and treat every child as a STAR!
All participants should come dressed for class. Leotards are preferred but shorts and a tight tee shirt are acceptable. Leotards are available for purchase in our pro shop. of Future Space Explorers

Mad Science has teamed up with NASA in a quest for exploration! We’ll take a voyage of discovery into the atmosphere and beyond as we explore planets, moons, and other space phenomena in our solar system. Things will heat up as we examine the sun and other stars and discover the difficulties of space travel! Kids will get a firsthand experience of the challenges of living in space as they try assemble a satellite while training to be an astronaut.
For added fun, we’ll learn about the various technologies that make space exploration possible while bouncing lasers around the room! Kids will love to build their own Mad Science rocket, and participate in a real “NASA” style rocket launch. Campers will receive many cool NASA take homes, including a cosmic disc, a propulsion station, and more! Mad Science is the ONLY organization licensed by NASA to use these activities for summer camps and school programs.

Fenton Lakes Sportsman’s Club
The Fenton Lakes Sportsman’s Club is located on more than 70 acres of rolling countryside just north of Fenton, Michigan, the FLSC is one of the area’s best kept secrets. By exploring this website, you’ll find a place where you can enjoy the great outdoors, your favorite sport, and a great sense of community. The Club operates shooting ranges for members including a 24 hour accessible 6 lane indoor pistol range. The outdoor ranges offer 25, 50 and 100 yard shooting for Rifle, Pistol, Muzzle loaders and Shotgun. Archery, 3-D Archery, Axe and Knife Throwing facilities are available as well on the outdoor ranges.
The FLSC Clubhouse is available to rent for meetings, receptions, graduations, parties, luncheons, etc., with a 300 people maximum capacity. Included is the use of our outdoor pavilion from which many a wedding ceremony has been held over the years. One of the highlights of Fenton Lakes Sportsman’s Club is our 15 station Sporting Clays Course. A one-mile course located in a heavily wooded area of FLSC property, it is both challenging and enjoyable. The course is open to the public Saturday and Sundays beginning at 10am with the last line out at 2pm. A round of Sporting Clays is a great group activity with family, friends or even team building with co-workers. Please check the Fenton Lakes Sportsman’s Club website’s “calendar of events” before coming out to shoot. The Clays staff will post all weather-related closings on the calendar. Fenton Lakes Sportsman’s club offers a variety of training classes throughout the year available to Members and Non-Members. From Hunter’s Safety to New Gun Owners classes. Classes to train and certify you for a Concealed Pistol License right up to becoming an NRA Certified Instructor to teach these classes. Firearms safety and education is a priority at FLSC. All of our classes are led by NRA Certified Instructors and overseen by NRA Certified Range Safety Officers.

Fenton Lakes Sportsmans Club
New Gun Owner Class
This course is designed to educate you on the components of a pistol and ammunition. Safety when operating a pistol. As well as the cleaning and care of a pistol. No previous training is required for this course. It is designed for first time owners even if you have never held a firearm before, anyone who has previous experience with firearms but would like a refresher, and those looking to learn more about pistol / firearm operation and safe handling before making a purchase.
Principles taught in class apply to all firearms, however primary focus will be on handguns. You do not need to own a gun to take this class. It may be prudent to take the class before purchasing a gun.
Course Pre-requisites:
None, other than you must be legally able to own or possess a firearm in the state of Michigan.
Course Goal:
To provide beginning shooters with an introduction to the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to own and use a specific pistol model safely.

This is NOT a beginner course—Beginners should take the New Gun Owner Class.
Course Pre-requisites: Completion of basic handgun training or equivalent experience.
Course Goal: To develop in the students the basic knowledge, skills and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding citizen’s right to self-defense.

For your child’s amusement here are some interesting examples of projects that we will explore: Tissue paper paintings on canvas, with an option to incorporating their Chinese bamboo brush painting on rice paper in the mix; Shoe polish teddy bear paintings applied with cotton and brushes; Atomizer sprayer watercolor painting with negative space yarn images. Other unique painting ideas will pop each day in our ‘What if..?’ of the afternoon exercise.

- Paint Travel kit. (Winsor & Newton (390639, Field plus kit, Field box) or Koi Watercolor Sketch Box or a simple portable watercolor set. You will need a small plastic plate to mix colors on if your set does not have a mixing area. A low impact and great exercise program for senior citizens. The class includes cardio, core work, and arm and leg strength exercises. This will get you moving in a friendly and fun atmosphere! Dates and times are subject to change due to the FHS and middle school swim calendar.

Supply List for Quick Sketch Watercolors On the Go:
- Watercolor Paper Book or Spiral Pad 140lb Cold Press 5 x 7 (must open and lay flat) Windsor & Newton, Fabriano, Canson, Hahnemuhle to name a few, make one all reasonably priced.
- #8 Watercolor round brush and an (Optional) 1.5 inch flat wash brush (synthetic sable).
- Paint Travel kit. (Winsor & Newton (390639, Field plus kit, Field box) or Koi Watercolor Sketch Box or a simple portable watercolor set. You will need a small plastic plate to mix colors on if your set does not have a mixing area. You can make your own Travel Set by adding your own tube watercolor paint (Primary colors of Red, Yellow and Blue ect.) into a Folding Watercolor Palette by Masters International which is $4.99.
- Absorbent Towel/rag/sponge for absorbing water
- Plastic Plate for a mixing pallet
- If not included with you set, bring a dollar store container with a lid for water to rinse your brush and a bottle of water to fill it up
- (Optional) portable light weight chair, cushion or towel to sit on.

Advanced Painting in Watercolor

Advanced watercolor painting with instructor Denise Willing Booher. This is an advanced class for students to bring in their own work and work in class. Denise will teach, advise, and lead students to produce their best work through drawing, painting and design skills using their own personal voice in their work. Basketball
Intermediate Basketball Skills Class with Coach Jerry Davis
Cost $99 for residents $109 for non-residents
For those who are ready to take the next step in their basketball development, this class is being introduced for players who are 9 to 12 years old and have gone through the second Hot Shots class with Coach Jerry. In this class, time will be divided into 50% skills development (shooting and dribbling) and 50% halfcourt 3-on-3 scrimmages. Please bring a water bottle.
