Yoga Fitness

Awaken your mind and body!  Yoga’s postures and mindful movements are said to reduce stress and bring about physical and health benefits. An excellent workout, the movements build strength, flexibility and focus.  Yoga practice is for all ages and fitness levels.

Our Summer Schedule has changed a bit. June classes may be held outside in the beautiful Rackham Park  – the back yard of the Fenton Community Center.

Fitness Yoga

Chair Pilates & Yoga

No need to be fit, flexible, or have prior experience. These stretches and exercises are performed sitting in a chair. This class is perfect for our wheelchair bound participants of all ages and excellent for our seniors too. This class can offer wonderful health benefits! Improve your flexibility and muscle tone, increase energy, and alleviate joint pain. It can also reduce stress and improve mental clarity.

$54 Residents/$64 Non-residents per 6 week session

TUESDAYS – 11:15 am–12:00 pm

Session 1: Tuesdays: 9/15 – 10/20
Session 2: Tuesdays: 11/3 – 12/15

Fenton Community & Cultural Center
Session 1 will be held in the fresh air in the beautiful Rackham Park in the backyard of the Fenton Community & Cultural Center. Session 2 location to be determined.

Hatha Yoga

A mindful approach combining gentle yoga with breath to help bring peace to the mind and body. Tom has been teaching since 1998 and is nationally registered and certified in multiple styles. This class is for all levels where you will learn basic yoga poses and perform refreshingly long holds. Yoga will improve respiration, flexibility, and give you more energy and vitality while it increases circulatory health. The last class of this session on August 27th will be a virtual class online via Zoom. Registered participants will receive the link via email.

$40 Residents/$50 Non-residents per 4 week session.

Kid’s Yoga

Children will learn yoga poses and exercises which cultivate a calm mind, increase strength and flexibility, improve gross and fine motor skills, improve concentration and give them tools to manage stress. Music and games will be incorporated. Our goal is for your child to feel calm and mindful while having fun in the fresh air with friends.

Ages 6-11

$32 Residents/$42 Non-residents per 4 week session

THURSDAYS –  5:30–6:15 pm

All fitness programs are Ages 13 & up unless otherwise noted. Participants under 18 must have a registered, participating parent taking the class with them.

$12 Drop-in is only available if a class reaches its minimum number of registered participants.
