SLPR’s Brief History

Southern Lakes Parks and Recreation was established in November 2000 by a vote of the people from Linden, Fenton and Fenton Township under the Metropolitan District Act, PA 312 1929. SLPR is overseen by its Board of Commissioners.

A perpetual .4 mil operating millage was approved (rolled backed by Headlee Amendment).
