Enjoy vibrant art in gorgeous Fenton! Fenton will be filled with artistic masterpieces from local, regional and international artists. Artwork will be displayed in and around the Fenton Community and Cultural Center and in Rackham Park. Enjoy delicious food and drinks while shopping the engaging artwork and businesses of downtown Fenton.

The City of Fenton DDA, together with Southern Lakes Parks & Recreation, announces a call to artists for the Fenton Art Walk. The event will be held at the Fenton Community & Cultural Center, designed by world-renowned architect Eliel Saarinen, both inside and outside in Rackham Park, which surrounds the center. As the Art Walk grows, we have plans to spread to the downtown sidewalks of beautiful Fenton, MI. Fenton’s Art Walk will be scheduled annually on the last Saturday in July from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM; for Art Walk 2026, the date is July 25th.

LAFF Pathway Pancake Breakfast

LAFF Pathways is once again working with Serendipity Spa of Linden on an All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast this fall. Last year’s was a hit and we are looking forward to making the event even larger this year!

The Pancake Breakfast is a fundraiser to support Phase 2 of the LAFFPathway, specifically The ChoiceOne Bank Trail, which is part of our non-motorized pathway system connecting Linden to Fenton along Silver Lake Road. This event helps raise funds to expand and maintain this important community project.

Athletic League Programmer

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS :

Ideal candidate should have working knowledge of recreation leagues and instructional program development, communityeducation and services, and special events. Proficient use of Microsoft Office products. Excellent budgeting, customer service and writing skills. Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation or related field is preferred or successful on the job experience.Flexible schedule with some weekends and evenings.

Annual starting salary is $40,000.  Paid time off for vacation, personal and sick days plus a matching contribution to Simple IRA and medical, dental and vision insurance. Candidate chosen for consideration will be subject to a background check.
