Market season 2020 is here! We cannot wait for the fresh produce, the relaxing summer breezes, and the warmth of the sun!  We are now booking vendors for the upcoming season. Please note : due to new regulations, we have limited market space. The markets also have new restrictions in place on what is allowed to be sold at the market, due to the pandemic.  If these rules change during the season, we will post the updates. According to recent studies, more than half of incoming college freshman are not prepared for college. While academic performance contributes to these statistics other factors play into college success, as well. This class is designed to help students understand what is expected of them in college and what they can expect as the transition into their new role in academia. Students will learn what resources are available for them through their college or university, as well as learn study skill, time management, professional communication, tips for socializing, understanding grades and courses, along with many other subjects that will focus on successful first year of college.

This course is taught by Cindy Kowall, who has worked nearly 10 years as an adjunct instructor for Concordia University, Cleary University, Delta College, Washtenaw Community College and Saginaw Valley State University. She has a BA in English with a secondary teaching certificate, MA in English Language in Literature and concentration in Composition and Rhetoric.
