Cartooning Art Workshop

Neal Levin’s Cartooning workshop is a fun and exciting way for kids to learn to draw. The class is designed to provide young artists simple skills that are easy to learn and inspires creativity.

Kids Painted Flower Pot

Material Cost: $5 payable to instructor at first class

Ages 7 and up

Students will have fun painting their own flower pot as the instructor teaches the fun techniques. Students, please bring any size flower pot painted white. Please pay $5 to instructor at the beginning of class.

The Artist’s Apprentice-Kids’ Wood Burning & Drawing

$65 Resident, $75 Non-Resident

Material Cost: $25 payable to instructor at first class

Ages 10 and up

Pyro graphics anyone? Where there’s smoke there’s…all these kids getting creative with wood! What can be more compelling than to blaze our mark in an art form everyone wants to try? Students will be learning basic skills of wood burning as we venture to gain dexterity in this ancient craft. Our subject matter will be Celtic and Inuit animal designs inspired by visual references and your child’s creativity! A Gallery Show of the students’ art will be extended to families following class on the final day.

(Note: We will be working with a hot wood burning tool, so please consider your child’s level of maturity.) $25 Material fee payable to instructor on the 1st day.

The Artist’s Apprentice- Japanese Cartooning

$65 Resident, $75 Non-Resident

Material Cost: $25 payable to instructor at first class

Ages 7 and up

Ready for a little Manga Madness! This art class will give Manga/Anime fans the unique opportunity to learn many techniques and improve their skills on Japanese drawing. Young artists will gain experience in drawing a variety of genres, including Chibi and
Shojo. A Gallery Opening will be extended to families following class on the final day.
