Lacrosse has become the fastest growing High School sport to date and now is the time to introduce your child to the sport in the Fenton area. While this program is in an instructional capacity, the vision is to provide the lessons needed to build a competitive program in a short amount of time.
Equipment needed in order to participate in this sport:
- Lacrosse Helmet (Hockey Helmets with full cages can be used)
- Lacrosse Stick
- Shoulder Pads
- Elbow Pads
- Lacrosse gloves
- Athletic Cup (for boys)
- Mouth Guard
This equipment is required for both boys and girl players, with the exception of the athletic cup, as we play using boys’ lacrosse rules.

Boys & Girls Winter Instructional Lacrosse
The Southern Lakes Parks & Recreation is taught by Pete Eckman former varsity high school lacrosse coach. Pete has helped grow the program tremendously as players are reluctant to leave and keep on wanting more. This instructional lacrosse program will focus on great stick work and decision making on the field. Pete also will teach your child the leadership skills and team building skills that will benefit your child both on and off the field.

Boys & Girls Spring Lacrosse League
Those in grades 3–8 will have the opportunity to show off the skills they have learned from Coach Pete in our Spring Lacrosse League.
The SLPR Spring Lacrosse program will take what the players have learned from previous sessions and apply it to a real time situation. Both Lacrosse scrimmages and games have been planned for the session with other local youth lacrosse programs in Genesee County.

Our lacrosse staff will continue to build players Lacrosse IQ and bring current coaching methods being used at the high school and collegiate level.
