Pilates with Props

 

Pilates is mindful movement. This class progresses you through the exercises using props including the foam roller, resistance band, fitness circle, balls, barres, and hand weights. You will gain strength and improve flexibility and posture. We teach correct positioning and muscle focus to sculpt your body and we offer modifications to challenge every fitness level. The results are balanced muscular strength and a toned body.

This class draws from the principals of Pilates and Yoga focusing on concentration, breath and muscles to create a head to toe exercise experience. Chair Yoga

 

Chair Yoga is for everybody. No need to be fit, flexible, or have prior yoga experience. This is an introductory level course and performed sitting in a chair. For those who can’t get on the traditional mat, chair yoga can offer wonderful health benefits. It provides greater flexibility, improved muscle tone, increased energy, and help alleviate joint pain from arthritis. It also reduces stress and improves mental clarity. This class is perfect for our wheelchair bound participants of all ages and excellent for our seniors too.

Hatha Yoga

 

A Mindful approach combining gentle yoga with breathing which helps bring peace to the mind and body. Tom has been teaching since 1998 and is nationally registered and certified in multiple styles. Stability Ball Conditioning

 

The primary benefit of exercising with the stability ball is core strength by focusing on the abdominal and back muscles. Using the rehabilitative principals of Pilates, this class is gentle on the joints and designed to challenge the whole body. The exercises create stability, help the fascia to release, and get the deep supporting muscles of the spine to activate. You’ll improve balance, rotation, and posture as you gain strength and range of motion.

Kids Yoga/Mindfullness

 

This engaging and playful yoga class is designed especially for elementary aged-children! They will learn yoga poses, breathing and relaxation exercises which cultivate a calm mind, increase strength and flexibility, improve gross and fine motor skills, improve concentration, and give children the tools to manage stress. Music and games will be incorporated. Our goal is for your child to feel calm, centered and mindful at the end of each class. Children will follow the instructor to the classroom right after school is dismissed.

Tabata

 

Tabata is interval training and is one of the most effective types of high intensity training around. Through a variety of simple, yet intense exercises you will get results. Each exercise you work out hard for 20 seconds and rest for 10 seconds and then move on to the next exercise. Tabata will blast the calories and improve endurance.

Tone & Sculpt

 

A total body workout using free weights, resistance bands and your own body weight, designed to sculpt, define and tone your body. 45 minutes of total body resistance training to help you build strength and tone up.
