The ABC’s of Portrait Watercolor Painting with Artist Denise Willing Booher via Zoom

Develop your skill and voice as a watermedia artist. Includes live and prerecorded demonstrations, step-by-step how-to guidance to help you develop your skill and voice as an artist.
Prerecorded session provided prior to the first class on how to choose a photo reference, do sketch and a value study to bring to the first class.

Denise is the current President of the National Watercolor Society and a past President of the Michigan Watercolor Society. Denise has a BFA from University of Michigan School of Art. Art
Fun Art in Fenton With the Artist’s Apprentice!
$60 residents, $70 non-residents
Plus $20 material fee payable to instructor at 1st day of class.
Ages 7 and up
It’s all in good fun! From Yayoi Kusama with her oh-so-fabulous dots and spots to Jean-Michel Othoniel’s swirly whirly pearl sculptures, our artsy kids will be getting creating while exploring popular art icons of our time. We will be making our art using various mediums, four project in all, to emulate these colorful art styles. Students will be drawing thumbnail sketches of their ideas and making drawings of there favorite vision.

Sulamith Wulfing

As a child, Sulamith had visions of angels, fairies, gnomes, and nature spirits. She first began drawing these creatures at the age of four. The visions continued throughout her life, and directly inspired her paintings. Students will be choosing a fairy tale to illustrate a favorite scene using watercolor paint to emulate the detailed pattern style of this German artist. Family will be invited to our Gallery Opening following class.

REGISTRATION/PAYMENT: Registration and payments must be done online at www.slpr.net as the SLPR office at the Fenton Community Center is closed due to COVID-19.  As a reminder, class size is limited, and spots do fill fast. We recommend registration early online to ensure your spot in a class.

Kid’s Yoga
Children will learn yoga poses and exercises which cultivate a calm mind, increase strength and flexibility, improve gross and fine motor skills, improve concentration and give them tools to manage stress. Music and games will be incorporated. Our goal is for your child to feel calm and mindful while having fun in the fresh air with friends.

Chair Yoga
Gentle Flow Pilates & Yoga on the Chair
You’ve got to keep moving and this class is for everyone who is not able to get on the traditional mat. No need to be fit, flexible, or have prior experience. Learn basic yoga stretches and Pilates exercises that can be performed sitting in a chair. The results will be greater flexibility, improved muscle tone, and increased energy. This class is designed to help you feel that pleasant combination of being relaxed and rejuvenated. Perfect for our wheelchair bound participants of all ages and excellent for our seniors too.
